The Royal Institute Elcano for International and Strategic Studies has focused since its foundation on the análisis of public opinion on Spanish foreign policy and international relations, including the social image of other countries.
The instrument designed by the RIE to reach this goal has been the Barometer of the Royal Institute Elcano (BRIE). It is a periodic survey, conducted three times a year with a sample of 1,200 persons representing the Spanish population 18 years and over.
Here the three first such barometers are included , conducted by ASEP for RIE as modules that were part of ASEP’s monthly survey in November 2002, and in February and May 2003.
