The International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) is a voluntary group of survey research teams in twenty-seven countries, each of which assumes the responsibility to run an annual survey based on an agreed module of questions on a monographic topic and a probabilistic national sample of the adult population (18 years and over). The annual monographic topic is also the result of a collective agreement that includes the perspective of its replication every five years approximately.
